Club News 2013-1417.06.14: Training to commence on 15 July Pre-season training will commence on Tuesday 15 July at Shalford Park starting at 7pm. We will also be training on Thursday 17 July at Shalford Park starting at 7pm. We will continue training on both Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout July and August if sufficient numbers make it worthwhile. We will revert to training on the astroturf at the Sports Park in September – Paul Martin will let you know nearer the time whether this will be on Tuesdays starting at 7.30, as it was last season.

12.06.14: Saturday's raffle Don't forget to pay for your raffle tickets for the now legendary Club Raffle before Saturday night's draw. 02.06.14: End of Season Do There is still time to come to the End of Season Do at the Radisson Hotel in Guildford on 14 June. It should be a great night with a barbecue, Club Awards, the now legendary Club Raffle, £300 behind the bar, all followed by England v Italy in the World Cup. At £25 per head this is great value and partners are welcome too. Look forward to seeing more of you there. If you haven't already confirmed your attendance, contact Michael Burt now. 01.06.14: Pre-season trip to Manchester There is a pre-season trip to Manchester to play a friendly on Saturday 2 August. It is planned to travel by mini-bus on Saturday morning, play a game on Saturday afternoon against Chorlton Irish, have a few beers, stay overnight and return on Sunday. If you haven't already expressed your interest, contact Paul Martin now. 30.05.14: End of Season Dinner: More good news! More good news for the End of Season Dinner! There will be £300 behind the bar for drinks, so we can enjoy ourselves (or drown our sorrows) while watching England v. Italy! 02.04.14: Graeme Chrystal RIP A Club Legend.
01.04.14: Ex-Weysiders skipper Graeme Chrystal has passed away Graeme Chrystal, recently emigrated to New Zealand, has died from heart failure. Graeme played 341 games (63 goals) between 1976 and 1991. Graeme was extremely popular and widely regarded as the best captain the Club ever had. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his wife Sally and their two children at this difficult time.

21.10.13: Reserves move on in County Cup Well done to the Reserves who beat Melwood 3-0 on Saturday to make it through to the third round of the County Cup - that's the last 32. It took extra time goals from Nick Burt, Thom Doggett and Dmitry Shragin to finally see off Molesey, following earlier goals from Mike Wilkinson and Scott Mahoney. In the next round, the Reserves will face Melwood, about whom we know absolutely nothing - except that they beat Cheam Village Warriors on penalties in the first round. 22.09.13: Salv's sock disgrace In the ongoing farce of referees having to implement stupid rules about matching undershorts and sock tape colours (when most clubs can't get matching short and socks), Salv De Piano goes one further with a disgraceful pair of non-compliant socks.

17.09.13: WARNING about traffic this Saturday The cycling Tour of Britain is coming to Guildford this Saturday, promising traffic chaos in the town centre. The race is scheduled to finish on Guildford High Street shortly before 4pm. But, be warned, many roads in and around Guildford will be shut for many hours either side of that time. The cyclists will be coming along the A3100 from the Godalming direction as they enter Guildford. To get to Shalford Park (where both our teams are playing this weekend) for 1pm, make sure you give yourself plenty of time. 23.07.13: First fixtures announced The League has announced fixtures for the first two weeks. On the first Saturday (14th September) our First Team will play at Guildford Park, and our Reserves will host Byfleet. See all forthcoming fixtures here. 22.07.13: Weysiders in Surrey Advertiser Weysiders were in the Surrey Advertiser last weekend (edition for Friday 12 July). 18.07.13: Come and play for Weysiders: why? Because we offer FREE training at the Surrey Sports Park during the season and there's no signing-on fee. You just pay to play. Kick-off times to be advised. 11.07.13: Final summer training tonight The last summer training session will take place tonight at Shalford Park, starting at 7pm.
