30.04.17: Club Awards 2017 At a successful End of Season Awards Evening at Guildford City Social Club last night, the following Club awards were made for 2017-17:

This is a great chance to socialise, to celebrate the success of the club over the past season, and to congratulate the award winners. It's £10 per person and that includes a buffet. There will be a raffle. And the Social Club will also be showing Joshua v Klitschko (boxing) from 10pm. Please contact Russ Minns to tell him you are coming.

Organised by Steve Hill and Russ Minns, the event was a fundraiser for the club and a tremendous success as a social event with many non-Weysiders making up the 45+ numbers. Thanks should also go to Lucy Hill, Glenn Noble, Aaron Hennessey and Phil Ney. Raffle prizes were donated by Steve Hill, Russ Minns, Paul Martin, Nick Burt and Garry Pierrepont. The winners of the quiz were team Buzoverponter, consisting of Derek Over (Club President), Garry Pierrepont (Club Chairman), Allison Pierrepont, Rita Buzaglo, Jo Horner and Justin Horner. (Experience obviously counts!) And there's enough booze left over to fuel the next event!

This is a great chance to socialise and raise money for the club while having some fun. Teams are to be a maximum of 6 people and are to be decided in advance of the quiz. If you have a small team, we may join you with another to make one team. Each team must have one Weysiders representative to collect the money etc, but one Weysiders member can represent more than one team. Tickets are £10 per person and will include a free drink upon arrival from our cash bar and nibbles throughout the night. There will also be a raffle and other games throughout the evening. Tickets are limited so if you would like to come please reply to Russell Minns with your team name and names of the team members ASAP and by Friday 17 February at the latest. We are also looking for Weysiders volunteers throughout the evening to help us run the event. These range from greeting guests to running the bar. We need as many of you to chip in as possible, so please say if you can help. At 55 years and 307 days, Dom beat his own record!

The new season will start for the First Team on 10 September, and for the Reserves on 17 September. All games will kick-off at 2pm.
