27.05.21: 2021 AGM

The AGM was held on Wednesday 26 May at The Astolat Pub, Guildford. The following key decisions were made:

• All committee members will retain their positions:
• Garry Pierrepont – Chairman
• Russ Minns – Secretary
• James Pierrepont – Treasurer
• Chris Murch - Social Secretary
• Match Fees for 2020/21 will remain the same at £10 and £5 for substitutes.
• The Signing on Fee for 2020/21 will be £20 for new players, for which they will receive shorts and socks.

15.04.21: Chertsey Old Salesians drop out

Chertsey Old Salesians have dropped out of the end of season Premier Cup, having played one game - a defeat to Weysiders. Wrecclesham have been handed the three points from their unplayed game against Chertsey.

09.04.21: Dial Square drop out

Dial Square have dropped out of the end of season Premier Cup, having played no games. This means there are only three teams left in Weysiders First Team's group.

23.03.21: Return of competitive matches

We are now expecting to return to competitive matches from 10 April. The League has decided to split all teams into FOUR different competitions. These will consist of mini-leagues with winners (and in one case runners-up) progressing to a semi-final, then a final.

Our first team is in the Premier Cup and the Reserves are in the Lower Junior Cup.

23.03.21: Details of the new competitions

The First team will compete in the Premier Cup and have been put into Group C with the following teams:
Chertsey Old Salesians
Dial Square
Wrecclesham

The Reserves will compete in the Lower Junior Cup and have been put into Group B with the following teams:
Guildford Park
Hambledon A
Shalford U21
Surrey Athletic

At the moment we believe that each team will play each other team ONCE. In the Premier Cup, only the group winners (of the four groups) will progress to the semi-final. In the Lower Junior Cup, the group winners and runners-up (of two groups) will progress to the semi-final.

23.02.21: Return of grassroots football

Grassroots football will be allowed to return from Monday 29 March. If you are a Weysiders player, you will be contacted with details about training in due course.

01.12.20: Training update

Training restarts on Wednesday 2 December at King's College as usual at 9pm.
There will also be a training session at Shalford Park on Saturday 5 December, 11am-2pm.
Training then carries on on Wednesday evenings 9-10 at King's College.

24.11.20: Grassroots football can return

Grassroots football activities can return from 2 December. The first available Saturday is 5 December.

02.11.20: Fixtures suspended

After the Government's announcement of a new lockdown in England from 5 November until 2 December, all grassroots football has been suspended for that period. We hope to resume playing in December.
